What if the random mutation process was not put there by chance? What if evolution was a biological safeguard to ensure that life always survived and ‘found a way’? The process is not as chaotic as it is described.

Consider an Octopus and a Human, 2 very different species with 2 very different needs in terms of adapting to its environment. To one of them the other looks like it could come from an alien world! And yet in both cases two forks of the evolutionary chain produced the same ‘camera’ type eye despite them being unrelated otherwise.

This is not some crackpot theory I came up with but something that’s stayed with me after listening to a lecture by Dr. Simon Morris, chair of Evolutionary Palaeontology at Cambridge University, noted evolutionary biologist and theist.
