Whilst I did like Black Flag (and the wonderful sea shanty soundtrack) stopping every few minutes to kill a sea turtle so you could upgrade your armour got very old, very quickly.

I always got the impression that Unity was meant to be the first in a new trilogy of games. It acts as an origin story for Arno and Ubisoft were planning on some canceled DLC/sequel material set in Egypt that got mysteriously cancelled a while before Origins was announced. Maybe Arno and Bayek were once due to share a game? They could have then carried Arno through the Napoleonic era.
