Whilst the Tories are entirely at fault for running the country into the ground for the last 12 years, it is their media enablers, your Paul Dacres and Rupert Murdochs that the blame falls at. It was the media barons who, decades before social media was hijacked by Cambridge Analytica, were constantly trying to gaslight the country into believing the EU was the 'EUSSR' and that we were somehow oppressed by EU laws telling us we had to have a minimum annual leave or clean water. Yeah, its as insane as it sounds.

The purpose of the media and journalism is to root out corruption and hold the government to account, not put on the front page a political comedian insulted the PM.

Truss is dangerous. She's playing with the Thatcher playbook of vote buying. Thatcher sold off the country's council houses for a pittance, allowing millions to jump on the housing ladder but didn't simultaneously invest in new ones and thus we have a shortage (which the Tories and their media enablers will blame on immigration). Truss plans to freeze energy bills at £2k/pa for 2 years but will fail to then invest in the infrastructure needed to make sure that the UK becomes energy independent, a pretty easy option for a windy island surrounded by the sea.
