I'd also recommend watching Clone Wars but from S5 E14. This kicks off Bo Katan's arc and brings back Darth Maul, both of whom have considerable story continuations in Rebels.

The final couple of seasons of Clone Wars are brilliant, dealing with several clones discovering Order 66, Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order and more.

Everything prior to this is pretty skippable TBH.
